HOST ACCOMMODATION LAUNCHES NEW DIGITAL STRATEGY
Conference delegates were given a sneak preview of the new Host Accommodation Digital Strategy at the Host Annual Conference held in Wellington recently.
The major theme for the conference was innovation in digital technology with presentations on rapidly changing market trends and new digital media channels.
“We need to ensure a better understanding of the needs of our customers”, said Chris Lee, General Manager of Host Accommodation “It’s a challenging marketplace and Host will be actively promoting an online and offline feedback loop with customers to ensure its messaging is relevant, timely and adding value”, he said.
Host Accommodation has embarked on a new digital marketing strategy with key messaging and offers powered by online video. Part of the strategy involves the roll out of a new website platform in July with an emphasis on quick and easy access to online pricing and booking availability. Focus has also been placed on Host’s genuine and welcoming ‘authentic kiwi’ positioning.
The Rugby World Cup was also identified as a key short‐term priority for Host with a new campaign promoting special offers via Host’s social media and website channels starting immediately.
