Motel group launches new customer loyalty programme
Travellers have a new
way to save with the launch of Host Rewards, a market-leading customer loyalty
programme by New Zealand motel group Host Accommodation.
Host Rewards gives motel guests access to the same sophisticated loyalty programme technology used by high-end hotels with swipe cards, online account access and fully integrated points promotions.
“It’s all part of our mission to help people fall back in love with motels. We want visitors to experience the kind of real Kiwi hospitality and personal service that keeps them coming back – and we want to reward them when they do,” Host Accommodation’s general manager Chris Lee said.
“The swipe card technology makes Host Rewards so simple to use and guests can check their points balance or gift points to another member anytime online.”
Typically, guests earn five points for every qualifying room night stay. Once 30 points have been accrued, they can be redeemed at more than 80 Host Accommodation properties throughout New Zealand.
“This programme has been several years in the making and now that it’s launched, we’re definitely in the mood to celebrate with some exciting guest promotions.”
Guests who use their Host Rewards card during June, July and August will go into a draw to win 2500 Host Rewards points, and double rewards points are on offer during June and July.
Mr Lee hoped Host Rewards would encourage more travellers to give motels a go.
“There are so many benefits of staying in a motel. Most of our properties are run by owner-operators so guests can expect a much more personal, home-away-from-home type of experience than that of a high-rise hotel.”
Free WiFi, cooking facilities, affordable rooms, and free parking, even in the main centres, were also big drawcards for guests, he said.
