Where has March gone?

It is always a bit freaky when the end of March approaches.  A quarter of the year has gone, financial statements need to be sorted out, and the mornings are getting cooler.  With so much going on, it sounds like a good time to throw caution to the wind and take some time out and explore more of NZ.

This week's focus is on Nelson

Did you know that Nelson's first claim to fame was the fact that it was NZ's second settled city? Nelson has seen many changes over the years and it is easily a fact that one night in Nelson is never enough!  There is a great range of cafe's, restaurants and bars mixed with a range of outdoor activities.  If exploring art galleries in your thing then Nelson region is definitely the place to be.

Head along to the Hoglund Art Glass studio in Richmond.  Ola and Marie Hoglund and their family have been making glass since 1982.

Lori Davis is a well known Nelson artist.  She does an amazing range of landscapes of the Nelson area. Her studio is located in the Ernest Rutherford Cottage, Founders Park.

If pottery is your art of choice then head along and go to Pottering About. This is a great chance to express yourself and create your own masterpiece.

So many sights to see and do but want someone else to take care of it all for you then why not take a tour.  Wine, Art and Wilderness will tailor a tour to suit your needs.

And at the end of your day exploring Nelson City it is always very reassuring to know that there is a Host Accommodation venue for you. Arrow Motel at Tahananui Beach and Carmel Court Motel ,Nelson city will look after you and also offer additional advice on what to see and do around Nelson.
